Hyperblast is the name of the product resulted from the collaboration between Alienware and Intel - a sci-fi themed online racing game. The 3D virtual track players compete on, offers not only a great feeling and lots of action, but the possibility of winning some prizes, too.

This means weekly draws for Hyperblast T-shirts and, for those who manage to complete the final track, a chance of wining the great prize. There will be a draw to decide the winner, from those who manage to finish the last track, and the prize is an Alienware Area-51 m9750 notebook which packs an Intel Core 2 Duo processor worth ?2,000 (about $4000)! The big draw will be made on the 29th of February 2008.

Hyperblast is an online game that can be played both in single and multiplayer mode. The single player mode provides some AI controlled drones to race against the player. Here, the player should use power ups from the track to gain advantage over the drones and get an optimum lap time.

Hyperblast also features a multiplayer mode where players can create friendly leagues to check their rankings and compete against their friends or colleagues. This mode is the one that allows players to win weekly prizes or enter the grand prize draw. Qualifying for the Quad Core track, would allow you to enter the draw for one of the 20 weekly Hyperblast T-shirts. To enter the draw for the grand prize (the m9750 notebook), one should complete the Extreme Edition Track. The competition is open to residents of the European Union, Norway and Switzerland. To enter any of these prize draws, you also need to provide a valid e-mail address, where's you'll be notified in case of winning.

All you need in order to play this game is a web browser and Adobe Flash Player 9, plus a good processor, since Hyperblast uses 3D graphics, unlike many other browser-based online games.
