The third DLC for Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation survival horror is about to get released later today. Safe Haven DLC has been confirmed for a January 13 release on all platforms, though it might be released at different hours depending on the regions.

The new DLC comes more than five weeks after the release of Trauma, the second DLC included in Alien: Isolation Season Pass. Those who own the game’s Seasons Pass will receive five DLCs for free, which will be released over the course of five months.

This means that we will most likely get one DLC per month. Safe Haven DLC has been recently confirmed on Alien: Isolation forums and some of the contents have been unveiled as well.

Although we already knew that Creative Assembly planned to introduce three new characters through these DLCs, we did not know the order in which they would be released.

Salvage and Marathon are the two new modes added in Safe Haven DLC

The three characters that should be added to Alien: Isolation would be Hughes, Axel and Ricardo. Well, it looks like Hughes, Sevastopol’s communications officer, will be part of the Safe Haven DLC, so the other two will be introduced with the two DLC left for the Season Pass.

Apart from the new Hughes character, the Safe Haven DLC will also add two new modes: Salvage and Marathon. The latter will allow you to play all Alien: Isolation DLCs in one go, while the former will provide players with various missions in a large arena over the course of two hours.

The missions become harder as you complete them and get to the end of the 2-hour period, but the rewards are much better as well.

The next two DLCs left for the Seasons Pass, Lost Contact and The Trigger (names unconfirmed) should be launched in February and March, respectively. They will each include a new character and probably new modes. Until then though, let’s play Safe Haven and see what Creative Assembly has done with the game.
