Since 1910, Samsonite is the world's largest maker of luggage, producing everything from large suitcases to smaller toiletries bags.

This is what happens when you try to illegally cross the borderline. The Skeleton Suitcase looks wacky enough to make all the Samsonite fans say: "Wow!". It reminds me a lot of the robbery scene from Ocean's 12, when the Chinky dude hides in the suitcase.

Anyway, it seems that Samsonite decided to follow a new fashion strategy, which was done in partnership with the famous Alexander McQueen. McQueen's early runway collections developed his reputation for controversy and shock tactics. For that, the designer earned titles like "enfant terrible" and "the hooligan of English fashion". His collections feature trousers aptly named "bumsters", and wear names like the "Highland Rape".

It has also been claimed that he was on income support and that he needed to change his name for his first show so that he could continue to receive benefits. So, the suitcase's design comes as a terrible shock to us.

I don't know why they chose the human torso as an integral part of the design, but it looks weird enough to attract even more customers.

According to Gizmodo: "The human form is treated just like an animal skin, with the ribcage and sternum at the front of the case, and backbone at the back. The inside is formed by the negative of the outside shape in a soft moulded form providing contrast with the outer protective hard shell." It could easily fit a Korean.(joke)

Samsonite posted: "The Alexander McQueen collection brings together modern interpretations of patterns and designs found in nature with the latest in product know-how - the morphing of man, animal and technology."

The suitcase comes in black or white ivory and is being marketed for about 380 bucks a pop! Cheaper than a ticket to New York.

Anyone?
