Back in November, supermarket giant Aldi launched an 8-inch tablet in Australia, called Bauhn, which proved to be quite popular.
Of course, the super affordable price-tag of AUD$129 / $118 / €87 had something to do with this, but some customers complained about the lack of 3G support.
Now Aldi is gearing up to do it again, this time launching a 9.7-incher, which sadly won’t be bringing the 3G some users crave for. The slate with sell for AUD$200 / $181 / €133 and will become available starting February 22, says AusDroid.
Let’s see what you’ll be getting for your money. At the moment, we know the tablet will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core CPU combined with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (extendable via microSD), an improvement compared with the 1.4GHz Dual-Core we have seen in the 8-incher.
Other specifications include two cameras (5MP on the back, webcamera in front), microUSB, mini HDMI, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Aldi will be selling a Bluetooth keyboard companion for the tablet, but grabbing that as well will set you back with an additional AUD$19.99 / $18 / €13.
