Al Roker, NBC meteorologist and correspondent on-site for the Presidential Inauguration 2013 in Washington, DC, really, really wanted to be the first to get an interview with President Obama on his second term.

Mission accomplished, of sorts.

Check out the two videos below to see what I mean by that.

Roker, acting on a sort of dare from his mates back in The Today studio, was prepared to yell at the top of his lungs to get the President to acknowledge him.

Not only did he manage to do that, but he also asked Obama two questions – and got answers to them as well.

Shortly afterwards, as Vice President Joe Biden walked past Roker, the NBC journalist managed to score a handshake, a considerable feat considering the security measures being taken on the occasion.
