Airborne Entertainment, a provider and publisher of mobile entertainment content, announced it has signed a licensing deal with Al Ovadia & Associates, to bring Huevocartoon, the popular Spanish-language animated satire, to mobiles. The agreement is part of Airborne Entertainment's strategy to expand its Hispanic content offering which enjoys a growing popularity.

Kim Senn, Airborne Entertainment VP Product, sees two important benefits of the licensing deal: "On one hand, it maintains our pioneer position in mobile humor that ranges from powerhouses like Family Guy to hot newcomers like Bitchin' Kitchen. On the other hand, it adds to our burgeoning array of Hispanic content, including graphic offerings like Palitos Locos, Dia de Los Muertos, Skulls and Chupacabras, and audio content from top Latin labels like J&N Records, MP Records and Reggaeton Nation. Pardon the pun, but Huevocartoon has the potential to crack both markets big time."

Huevocartoon is a series of web-based, flash-animated comedy episodes starring a group of outspoken eggs who participate in satires of cultural and social aspects of life. Since its launch in Mexico in 2002, Huevocartoon has managed to attract more than 100 million fans worldwide, and has generated many related projects including an animated film ("Una pel?cula de huevos" - "A movie about eggs" in translation) and a full line of merchandise. Airborne's mobile suite of products will include wallpapers, ringtones, video content and more, featuring popular Huevocartoon characters like Huevo Santa, Osama Bin Huevo, Los Huevos Rancheros, Huevo Zen and others.

"All it took was one meeting with the Airborne Entertainment team to know that they are the perfect partner for bringing a well-known satirical property like Huevocartoon to mobile" said Al Ovadia, President of Al Ovadia & Associates. "They are far and away one of the pioneers in this space of mobile humor. Huevocartoon has unlimited potential in the mobile arena and as new handsets launch with expanded video capabilities even more consumers will be able to experience the well-known property first hand."

The Huevocartoon mobile suite of content is expected to be available on North American carriers in 2008.
