If you ever find yourself in a situation where nature calls, but there's nowhere to go, AirPnP is the right solution for you.

AirPnP is a website and application designed to help tourists who need to relieve themselves during the New Orleans Mardi Gras, as it allows them to find the nearest loos.

The service follows the same concept as AirBnB, which allows people to rent out their properties to travelers, and works in the same way. It lists toilets on the city’s parade route on Fat Tuesday and allows people to charge tourists to use their private toilet if they are nearby and need it.

According to Tree Hugger, users of AirPnP are presented with bars, restaurants and private homes where they can pay to use the bathroom, usually for a small fee of $5 (€3.6) or less.

“We take care of lavatory logistics so you don’t have to,” says the slogan of the application.

The service allows regular people to set a price for visitors using their toilets, and must add details about cleanness and toilet paper thickness. On the other hand, the tourists can use their mobile phones to find the nearest restroom and can either pay through the app or in cash.

They can also rate the quality of their bathroom experience for others.

So far, about 20 toilets have been added and almost 2,000 people have signed up to use the application.
