iPhone developer Readdle has announced Air Sail 1.1, an update to its racing game for iPhone and iPod touch. The new version adds stability fixes for iPhone OS 3.0 and is available now for free from the iTunes App Store. A sale from Readdle is also available. Read on for full details.

In Air Sail, you must blow into the microphone to control the wind speed and move the ship around, while also tilting the iPhone to adjust the vessel’s direction. “The small ship is sensitive to your breath, and your mission is to guide it through the pond,” Readdle says. “You need to be fast because time is limited and you don't like the ‘Lose’ screen, at least we hope so.” Alternately, you can use the touchscreen to control the boat. A smart move from the developer, since not everyone may understand a breath-based control scheme.

The game features cartoon graphics with 15 levels filled with lily pads, leaves, flowers and rocks, and offers peer-to-peer, Wi-Fi multiplayer capabilities. This allows you to compete with other players, provided you are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. The main features of Air Sail include:

- Blow into the microphone to control wind speed. - Tilt the iPhone to adjust the ship's direction. - Tap instead of blow if you have iPod Touch without the microphone.

The developer of over 20 applications for iPhone and iPod touch also announced a price cut for one of its most important items currently selling in the App Store – ReaddleDocs. The software is a complete document- and file-management solution for iPhone and iPod Touch, which can “catch” documents from Windows, Mac, or Linux computers, as well as websites, email attachments, MobileMe iDisk and other online file-storage services. Files are saved to the device for quick, offline access.
