A company by the name of Aiaiai has just unveiled a set of headphones that, unlike many high-end, enthusiast-grade products that strive to be as eye-pleasing as possible, focus on sound quality and a fairly simple design that places comfort above style.

Many gamers, especially hard-core ones that attend LAN parties and want to look their best, often choose to buy intricate peripherals (keyboards, mice etc.), and this is why many forms of PC-oriented headgear exist.

Aiaiai, a company based in Denmark, decided it would not get into led-covered headsets or odd-shaped inventions and, instead, chose a minimalist construction when it created the TMA-1 headphones.

The TMA-1 have padded earcups, ear cushions that are interchangeable at the press of a button and speakers that are serviced by a cushion plate with an integrated filter.

The Aiaiai product is supposedly inspired from the sound quality of Sennheiser's HD 25, utilizes the dynamic, closed transducer principle and has a driver unit size of 40 mm.

Other specifications of the electronic include an impedance of 32±15% Ohm, a frequency response of 20 to 20.000 Hz, a total harmonic distortion of under 0.3%, a load rating of 0.1 W, a sensitivity of 110±3dB Weight w/o.

The company threw in a carrying pouch, a booklet, a 1.7 meter cable and a 6.3 mm stereo plug converter, which should allow the TMA-1 to plug into a wide range of sound cards and consumer electronics.

The headband is bade of strong but flexible nylon material and the price is of 180 Euro. The product page can be found here.

“The speaker is protected by the cushion plate with integrated filter and provides the richest sound that is available today along with the most durable driver technology,” states the official website. “Finally, there is a 3mm cotton fiber filter for isolation and the headphone cup out of a resistant ABS material to protect the fragile parts.”
