Won't prevent accidents, but at least it will prove your innocence

One of the worst things that sometimes happen after a minor car accident is that the party actually responsible for the crash doesn't acknowledge his/her fault and blames it all on the other driver. However, in order to allow drivers to prove their innocence both in front of the police officers (or a court of law) and to the insurance agents, the Brickhouse Security company is offering the CamCam Voyager, a device that can record just about everything that's going on within one's vehicle.

The device is quite easy to set up and operate. Thus, the one touch record button allows users to start recording the inside of their car the moment they enter the vehicle. Furthermore, they can record everything, from the visual conditions of the road to the weather and traffic on SD cards (the device supports Secure Digital memory cards with capacities up to 2 GB, which can store up to 8 hours of video content).

As mentioned earlier, the device is extremely easy to setup, since all the users have to do is set the recording angle, adjust the cradle then use the red laser beam spot light to shine in the desired recording direction. Furthermore, since it can also be powered by 3 AAA batteries (beside the car adapter), the CamCam Voyager can always be used as a handycam.

The device saves the recorded audio/video stream as an unitary .AVI file, which can be easily transferred and viewed on any computer, and as if this wasn't enough, the CamCam Voyager also comes with a Video RCA cable to connect to any TV set.

Moreover, it's not even that expensive, as it retails for around 80 US dollars, a pretty acceptable price tag for a device that could actually save the user a lot of money otherwise spent on car repairs and legal fees.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
