Chinese customers are apparently interested in tablets with wider displays

Even if the tablet’s glory is said to have passed and market fatigue is slowly setting in, touch panel makers based in China are giving no signs of being impacted by such a trend.

Information coming to us courtesy of infamous publication DigiTimes claims touch panel orders in China are expected to experience strong growth, as a result of vendors pushing their products in the country.

Interestingly, most of the tablet demand will be directed towards 10.1-inch models sporting a decent price-tag, coming out of brand-vendors such as Lenovo or their white-box counterparts.

Various market observers go on to claim, the Chinese market will continue to be challenged by Taiwan-based Acer and ASUS, brand-vendors expected to spurt out new products throughout 2014.

One of the most exciting products expected to come out of ASUS will probably be the next-gen Transformer Book T200, which will reportedly arrive in May / June.
