There are many changes that companies can make to one of their products in order to be able to advertise it as something fresh, but Aerocool chose the simplest and most straightforward option when it made the new XPredator case.

Aerocool is just one of many companies that like to build and sell desktop computer cases, even now that notebooks clearly sell better than such systems.

As all companies that have been around for more than a short time, this outfit has products that distinguished themselves already.

One of the items that must rank fairly high on the popularity scale is the XPredator full-tower chassis and it is this very item that got modified.

The change, however, was purely cosmetic, as only the color was swapped to suit the new name, XPredator White Edition (the others are black or black with orange). It is set to start shipping next month, for the price will of 129.90 Euro.

As a reminder, the whole product measures 600 (H) x 234 (W) x 555 (D) mm and has a side window that can hold four fans, though none are included by default, not on that particular spot at least.

Instead, there is one on the front, as well as one at the top, though only the former has a white LED, for aesthetic appeal.

There are a number of 3.5-inch HDD drive bays on the inside, plus several 5.25-inch ODD (optical disk drive) bays.

All of them have a tool-free construction, as do the PCI expansion slots, so that it is easy to add even video cards without having to call on the aid of screwdrivers and the like.

Another feature is the built-in fan controller (can handle up to six fans), though pre-drilled watercooling holes exist as well.

Finally, an I/O panel rests at the top, offering three USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 connector, eSATA and audio/mic jacks.
