Boasting the work of the producer behind “Hurt Locker” and the director of “American History X,” not to mention an impressive cast, “Detachment” surely looks like the kind of drama you might want to keep an eye out for.

A first trailer for it has just been released, and you can check it out in full above.

Adrien Brody plays a substitute teacher who might turn out to have even more problems than his problem students.

Quotes from some of the biggest media outlets (in film) included in the trailer claim he's putting on his best performance since “The Pianist” and that alone should be enough to get fans to see it.

The supportive cast is also very impressive – and a look at it more than compensates for the fact that the trailer doesn't really reveal that much about the plot.

Thus, we see Christina Hendricks, Lucy Liu, Marcia Gay Harden, William Petersen, Blythe Danner, Tim Blake Nelson and James Caan.

“Detachment” will be out in select theaters on March 16, but will become available on digital platforms before that, on February 24.
