Adobe has warned its users that several of the company's graphics applications might affect their systems and allow hackers to attack from a remote location.

One of the components of the license activation routine for Adobe's applications, Adobe License Management Service, "might grant access to an unauthorized person to the computer of a user who is installing the Adobe application", it was announced in a security bulletin posted on the company's website at the end of last week.

The products affected by this security flaw are the Windows versions of: Photoshop CS, Adobe Creative Suite 1.0 and Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5. For now, there haven't been any reports on attacks that took advantage of this security flaws. The security company Secunia has rated this problem as being "moderately critical".

Users of the latest versions of Photoshop: Adobe Photoshop CD2 and of Adobe Creative Suite (the CS2 version) are not vulnerable to this flaw.

Adobe has posted on its site a series of patches that solve this problem and usage instructions.
