Along with Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, the creative software company has released Adobe Premiere Elements 10, the video editing app aimed at regular users, the counterpart of Photoshop Elements.

Adobe Premiere Elements 10 builds on its predecessors and adds several new features as well as some new capabilities.

"With video now being captured by more devices than ever, we have designed Adobe Premiere Elements with intuitive features that will help any user, regardless of experience, make the most of their videos," Winston Hendrickson, vice president of Digital Imaging Products at Adobe, said.

"Adobe Premiere Elements 10 now includes new features that bring video editing to a new market of consumers who come from a photography background," he said.

"Whether users are just getting started or ready for more customization and control, Premiere Elements makes it even easier to create great home movies with less effort," he added.

With a great number of DSLR cameras now including HD video recording, people passionate about photography are discovering video as well. Premiere Elements 10 caters to those users with a few features they'll feel familiar with.

Premiere Elements now includes a color correction technology, snatched from the professional editing software Photoshop. However, the technology is made easy enough to use for those who may not have too much experience with editing software or the time to learn more advanced techniques.

Another touting point for Premiere Elements 10 is support for the AVCHD format which enables users to export their movies in full HD resolution onto ordinary and cheap DVDs.

That said, you can bypass the need for physical storage altogether and upload your creations directly to YouTube or Facebook from inside Premiere Elements.

Adobe Premiere Elements 10 is now available for $99.99, 73 Euro. If you already own a previous version of the software, you can opt for the upgrade option for  $79.99, or 58.5 Euro.

As with Photoshop Elements, the Plus cloud storage option is also avaialble, offering 20 GB of storage for for $49.99, or 36.5 Euro, per year but only in the US.
