14 DAY TRIAL // An updated version of the Adobe Photoshop Express application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, namely build 2.0.496.
The updated software comes with support for devices running under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, as well as with revamped features, so as to ensure that users receive a better experience with it.
The new app release is meant to bring some of the most popular features to the center, such as Looks, Corrections, cropping, red eye reduction, and auto-correct.
“This version was rebuilt completely from the ground up for Android and is KitKat compatible. We have made every effort to fine-tune the app for Android. As an example, Android users will appreciate accessing and processing images saved on the SD card faster than before,” Adobe notes in a blog post.
“Under the hood, this release is powered by Adobe’s latest image rendering engine, coming to Android for the first time. This engine greatly improves performance and enables handling of large file sizes.”
The updated application also comes with a corrections menu, which features slider controls, enabling users to easily fine-tune exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, temperature, tint, etc.
Moreover, accessing and processing images from the SD card is much faster than before, the company announced.
There are also exciting filters included in the application, along with the option to upload photos to private albums in Adobe Revel, which allows users to view and share memories across devices.
This is the first time that Revel has been integrated into Photoshop Express for Android, so as to ensure that users can easily access their photos from a single place.
“Use Revel to share photos and videos with different circles of friends and family – only invitees can contribute or see what’s shared. It’s relationship-based, personal sharing. And with this new version of Photoshop Express you can easily save the photos you edit directly to Revel,” Adobe notes.
