Adobe announced less than a month ago that it was about to start a complete redesign of its apps and services. With the launch of its Document Cloud cross-platform solution, Adobe has taken the steps towards updating its mobile applications that will take advantage of the new solution.

One of these applications is the popular Adobe PDF Reader, which has more than 100,000 million downloads on Google Play Store.

The most important change is the new name that Adobe has given to its PDF reader. Beginning this month, the Android application will be called Adobe Acrobat Document Cloud, but the listing on Google Play store will continue to keep the “PDF Reader” tagline.

Besides the name change, Adobe also updated its PDF reader application with some new features and improvements. The most important seems to be the new Tools menu, which will allow users to accomplish frequent tasks more easily.

The new version comes with several new features and tweaks

The update also makes it easier for users to view recent files across computers and devices with Mobile Link. Also, the Adobe Fill & Sign is available for free and users can fill, sign, and send forms on Android.

There are also new options to organize pages: reorder, rotate, and delete pages in PDF files. Two new functions will allow users to undo and redo changes including highlights, comments, and organize pages.

If you don't have the app installed yet, you can now download Adobe Acrobat DC for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.3 and up.

Keep in mind that the Android PDF reader has been localized in multiple languages: English, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.

Update: The iOS version has been updated with the same changes as well. Thanks bousozoku!
