Adobe finally completed the acquisition procedures for Macromedia Software and this union of forces should end up with a generous offer of products which include the best features from both companies. Adobe hopes that soon it will be able to create a "powerful software platform" based on Adobe's PDF technology and Macromedia Flash.

The way we perceive information today has been carefully modeled by the technological breakthroughs, by the increasing popularity of digital content and the accelerating proliferation of mobile phones, wireless devices and the massive use of broadband services. According to Bruce Chizen, Chief Executive Officer of Adobe, "Adobe and Macromedia are at the center of this trend, and together we will build on our combined heritage to redefine the way people and businesses communicate."

The new software products that Adobe has developed with Macromedia didn't take long to be available. The first solutions presented together by the two companies are: Adobe Design Bundle which combines Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium with Flash Professional 8 software; the Adobe Web Bundle that brings together Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium and Studio 8; and the Adobe Video Bundle that delivers Adobe video solutions coupled with Flash Professional 8.
