To Launch in September

Adobe announced today the launch of a new version of Scene7, the tool that enables companies, and not only, to display their products on their webpages in an attractive way. Online catalogs, zooming options and resizing are available ever since the first version came out and it seems only natural that they be present in the new edition too.

But Scene 7 4.0 also brings some new features, such as an intuitive user interface - which is built on the Adobe Flex technology and which enables both a single page view and an accordion like view of the webpages - as well as easy to handle drag and drop. For those who use Scene7 for the first time, the new version comes integrated with tutorials and visual highlights that can meet the needs of both fresh and experienced users who will also be able to choose the types of viewers as well as make a custom design of their online catalog.

Maybe the most useful tool Scene7 v.4.0. brings is the fact that it supports files created with other Adobe applications, such as Flash, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. "With this update we're able to broaden our offerings to better support both start-up companies who have basic rich media requirements as well as large global organizations who trust Scene7 to make their products and brands stand out on the Web." says Doug Mack, vice president of consumer and hosted solutions at Adobe.

The new version will be available as of September 3 and will have a Multilanguage support - English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese. Enterprise customers will have the possibility to choose between the Enterprise Edition, which offers full dynamic imaging and electronic catalogs, and the Enterprise Unlimited Edition, which includes, as an extra, the Scene7 Media Portal. For small businesses, Adobe offers four versions of the program, each with its requirements and bonus features.
