14 DAY TRIAL // Last year, just before Britney Spears had the terrific public meltdown that ended in her being hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai and cost her the custody of her two children, she was dating former paparazzo Adnan Ghalib. Their affair ended when Britney’s father assumed conservatorship over her estate – or so the media thought. In a recent interview, Adnan claims he and Britney are still very much together.
Despite two different restriction orders issued against him (one of which has expired in the meantime and has never been renewed), Adnan tells Heat magazine that, even if the world does not know it, he is still Britney Spears’ boyfriend. Not only that, but he is also certain that the truth will eventually come out in the open, meaning, the world will know that he was at the singer’s side all along not because he wanted fame, but only what’s best for her.
“I still love Britney. I’m her boyfriend.” Adnan reveals for Heat. “Britney has a beautiful soul. We share something really special. The truth about us will come out eventually, but it’s not for me to talk about. I love her.” the former paparazzo turned celebrity by association further explains for the magazine. However, he fails to make any mention of the two restriction orders Britney and her father have with his name on it, which practically prevent him from getting anywhere within 250 yards of the pop star.
As mentioned above, Adnan’s relationship with Britney, although brief, held the pages of the international and local papers almost constantly. First off, he was one of the singer’s most zealous followers back in the days when Britney was a paparazzi-favorite because of her nightly ramblings and embarrassing moments. Switching sides and all of a sudden claiming that all the other paps gave Britney her privacy was seen by many as a clasp on the singer’s fame to get his hands on more money.
Nevertheless, his coming out now to say that he’s still together with Britney is seen by many as yet another attempt at clinging to his long-gone 15 minutes of fame, especially since he has been seen nowhere around her for months. A response from camp Spears following Adnan’s statement is expected any moment now, so keep an eye on this space for more.
