Beyonce may be the Queen of secret online album releases, but it's Adele who is leading the top of most digital copies sold for an album. Her “21” material managed to become the first album in history to break the 3 million mark.

Despite being released almost three years ago, “21” is still faring well in terms of sales. Rolling Stone has obtained the numbers from SoundScan, which claims that Adele's impressive numbers are no surprise. The British singer has topped their sales at the end of the year in 2011 and 2012, making “21” the only album to be on the first position for two years in a row.

Meanwhile, Adele is reportedly working on a new album. She has had a small musical setback due to an operation she had to undergo to repair some damage to her vocal chords, but she hasn't been out of the music industry altogether.

Apart from co-writing and performing the title track for the latest James Bond movie “Skyfall,” she was also busy receiving a Grammy for Best Pop Solo and an MBE from Prince Charles himself “for services to music.”
