In October this year, Adam Lambert made an announcement that send fans into a frenzy of joy: he would release an acoustic EP later this year. The official date has been unveiled: “Adam Lambert Acoustic Live” is out on December 6.

Fans must know that Adam has been keeping very busy these past few months with his sold-out tour, The Glam Nation Tour. In between dates, he also found the time to put together the EP, as we also informed you a while back.

According to a statement from RCA Music Group, the EP includes 5 tracks and will become available in digital format both at various retailers and on AdamOfficial, the singer’s official website.

Only a lucky few will also be able to get their hands on physical copies of the material, since their number is limited, the same statement says. But there are more surprises to come.

“Fans who pre-order the EP on www.AdamOfficial.com will get the acoustic version of ‘Whataya Want From Me’ immediately as an instant grat as well as a limited edition lithograph poster of the cover art,” the statement informs.

The “Acoustic Live!” EP includes live versions of the “most popular” tracks on Adam’s debut album, the record breaking and critically acclaimed “For Your Entertainment.”

“Whataya Want from Me” and “Music Again” were recorded in Germany, the same statement says, while “Aftermath” and “Soaked” were recorded on tour.

The fifth track on the EP is “Mad World,” “which Adam first performed memorably on American Idol,” the statement further notes, as fans must surely remember since it was one of the highlights of season 8 of the popular television show.

So far, Adam Lambert’s first studio material since Idol, “For Your Entertainment,” which debuted in November 2009 at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, has sold over 1 million copies.
