Singer Adam Lambert, dubbed by the media the “wild Idol” for being different than any other American Idol contestant in the history of the show, is preparing for Christmas with his family, as he reveals in a recent interview.

Lambert sat down with JustJared earlier this month after the Y100 Jingle Ball in Miami, and, among other things, also talked about his Christmas plans with his family and the traditions he likes to stick to every year for the holiday season.

In the same interview, the singer also dishes on his favorite toy as a kid, and which were the presents he always wanted but never got: as it turns out, it’s a large plastic Corvette that you can get inside of and drive around.

“Early childhood, the Skeletor’s capital Gray Skull – the He-Man action toy,” Adam says of his favorite toy. An artist will always be an artist, it would seem.

“It was amazing, because it had a little microphone in the back with reverb so when you would talk into the mic it would make you sound like you had a haunting voice,” he says.

“It had a skull in the wall where you could move the mouth while you talked. It also had a little page where you can put the action figures with a slime reservoir on top, so you could slime them. I was really into that,” Adam explains.

Aside from revealing that he never got the Corvette he always wanted (but he did get a Jeep, he admits), Adam also shares a more personal thought: for him, Christmas means spending time with his family.

Apparently, both his dad and his mom are excellent cooks, and Adam himself may give it a try this Christmas, even if only for laughs. He also says he doesn’t have a Christmas “tradition” except for being with his family over a glass of red wine.

“Just drinking a lot of red wine and eating and laughing,” he says of the family plans. “That red wine is really the holidays to me,” Adam adds.
