Star says he’ll “date on tour”

Adam Lambert, literally the hottest male artist of the moment, is also a single man, having recently broken up with his boyfriend, interior designer Drake LaBry, for reasons that have not been detailed in the press. With all that, Adam is neither broken hearted nor desperate to find someone else to fill that particular void in his life, telling Us Magazine he’s “cool” with the whole idea of being single.

Speculation about the two having issues, presumably because of increased attention on every move that the singer made, had been making the rounds long before the actual split came, as we also reported a while back. Still, Adam insists that he has no ill feeling for Drake, and that the relationship ended in the most natural way possible. At the same time, he remains open to the idea of dating again, even if it’s not something that he specifically aims to make time for.

If it’s to happen, he’ll date while on tour, Lambert says. “He’s ‘cool’ being single. In fact, when his debut album, ‘For Your Entertainment,’ comes out on Nov. 23, he plans to promote not only his music, but also himself. ‘I will date on tour,’ Lambert told Us at the 2012 premiere in L.A. Tuesday,” Us Magazine writes. Moreover, Adam already knows what to look for in a potential future boyfriend, saying he has to be “intelligent” and to have “creativity and compassion.”

“Still, he has no ill will for his ex, whom he still says is a ‘very good friend’ after their mutual decision to end the relationship. ‘I don’t really feel like there were any mistakes made,’ he told Us. ‘I feel like things evolved. Sometimes you’re on the same page with somebody, and sometimes you have to get off that page and on to another one.’ A source told Us that the split was all to do with timing,” the aforementioned publication also writes.

As we also told you earlier this week, reports in the tabloids claim that Adam and Drake decided to break up so that the former could concentrate all his attention on his music career. Since his debut album, “For Your Entertainment”, is just weeks away, he needed to have time to deal with the promotion part accordingly, so the decision to call it quits was mutual.
