Several updates for the advertising platform

AdWords is an advertising platform owned by Google that received an important update through the adverts distributed by AdSense. Yesterday, the search giant confirmed an interface update for the adverts included in AdSense, the Google service that allows users to earn money by placing ads on their websites.

Although the search giant confirmed only the new appearance on the ads, it seems like the improvements are concerning even the click technology and the way users are able to click the ads. As you know, all the Google ads are displayed into a border marked by the company, allowing the users to click anywhere in the rectangle to visit the ads. Using the new updates, the visitors of the page must click straight on the ad link showed by Google.

"Second, we've modified what counts as a click in this box to be consistent with what counts as a click for the ads on the right hand side. Instead of clicking anywhere in the box, users now need to click on the link in the top line of an ad in order to be taken to an advertiser's site. Together, these changes help decrease the likelihood that a user will unintentionally click on an ad, while making our highest quality ads more visible," Daniel Dulitz, Product Manager for the Google.com ads user interface, sustained on the official blog of AdWords.

As the company announced yesterday, only some of the users are able to see the adverts because the search giant is updating them periodically. In the recent period, Google made important efforts to improve its advertising platform. Take for example the deal made with EchoStar able to bring the Google adverts on the TVs from all over the world.
