Clearly not satisfied with just being a successful Hollywood actress, Gabrielle Union is branching out into other money-making venues, as a celebrity wine-maker. Union is ready to come out with her own brand of wine, making the announcement on Instagram.

The African-American actress is putting out a brand of white wine called “Vanilla Puddin' Wine,” which, based on the description she gives on her social media account, is a “fun Chardonay with hints of vanillia, super yummy and great for all occasions.”

The Vanilla Puddin' Wine is said to have characteristics of pears, light French Oak and white chocolate with dollops of vanilla, being a creation of the collaboration between Jam Cellars and Brand Elite in California's Napa Valley.

This isn't the first time Union brings up her wine brand. She previously was seen popping the cork on one of her bottles during the Chelsea Lately talk show last month. That's also the time she mentioned that she had plans to serve her wine to the guests attending her upcoming nuptials with basketball star Dwayne Wade.

The bottles of wine that have been aging since 2012 are going to retail for $16.99 (€12.2) and will become available on the US market starting Monday, March 17.

Gabrielle Union is by no means the only celebrity to come out with her own brand of wine. Actually, this is fairly common trend among Hollywood celebrities, who use their names to endorse certain types of the alcoholic beverage and thus get some money into their bank account, while at the same time gaining some cool points.

Among the best-known celebrities who promoted their own wine lines, the biggest names that come to mind are Drew Barrymore, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Sting and Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas.

Last month, Union appeared on the Arsenio Hall show and revealed that her upcoming marriage with Dwayne Wade was not going ahead without a prenup, which she insisted was her idea. She joked that while Dwayne was a stand-up guy and a great partner, she never actually saw him balancing a check book.

The actress also added that she had had a couple of bad past experiences she didn’t want to repeat and from which she had learned a thing or two. It looks like she knows what she's doing and plans on keeping whatever money she makes from a number of activities.
