Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare might have just been officially announced, but the team handling it at publisher Activision is already talking about the level of quality that it will deliver and the way it will relate to other titles in the long-running first-person shooter franchise.

During a call to investors that followed the announcement of the company’s financial result, Eric Hirshberg, the chief executive officer of the publishing arm of the organization, explained that gamers should be ready to experience the most polished title in the series.

He is quoted by VG247 as saying that, “Visual, graphic fidelity and polish will be on a different level than previous games in the series. It’s the first pure next-gen developed game in the series. It has full performance capture technology, and the longer development cycle helped flesh out the story and the character’s development.”

At the moment, three development teams, Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games, are working on Call of Duty as a series, which means that they all have a three years period in which to deliver a quality game experience.

The Activision executive also says that his company expects the new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare to bring in a new set of players to the series because it will be designed to act as an entry point for those who have not followed the story linked to Modern Warfare or Black Ops.

Ever since Sledgehammer Games was confirmed as the developer of the new title in the shooter franchise, the leadership of the company has explained that it is aiming to create the best title that fans have ever experienced.

The gameplay of the franchise will remain largely unchanged, as players once more play a soldier who has to progress through levels and defeat hordes of enemies.

New tools that have been revealed during the first trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare include: exoskeletons, maglev bikes, drones, futuristic weaponry and advanced cloaking devices.

The footage also features Kevin Spacey playing the role of Jonathan Irons, who will be the antagonist of the story, which involved a simultaneous attack on all military forces in the world that’s conducted by a Private Military Company.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be launched on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the PC and current-gen consoles and the title will be delivered on November 4 all over the world.
