The netbook mania has touched a number of companies, each one trying to get a bit more out of this popular market segment. Ranging from netbook vendors to hardware component manufacturers, companies have tried to adapt their product lines to the increasingly growing market. Such is the case with Active Media Products, a manufacturer of SSDs and WWF-series USB drives, which has just released two new videos designed to provide netbook users with support for upgrading their system's memory, using the company's SaberTooth brand of netbook SSDs. The two videos are now online and are meant for users of the Dell Mini 9 and ASUS Eee PC 900, 900A and 901 netbooks.

“Most people buy netbooks for affordability and functionality. But when they discover how slow the performance is they immediately want to upgrade. Our 3-minute tutorial videos teach netbook owners step-by-step how to install a SaberTooth SSD into popular netbooks. Most Mini 9 and Eee PC users don't realize how easy it is to turbo charge their netbooks.” stated Jerry Thomson, Active Media Products' vice president of sales.

The company's line of SaberTooth SSDs has been designed as custom storage upgrade solutions for some of the world's most popular netbooks. The AA models have been built for Dell Mini 9 netbooks, providing users with 16GB and 32GB capacities, with read speeds of 82MB/s, for a considerable boost in storage performance. The SS models have been built for ASUS' Eee PC 900, 900A and 901 netbooks, available in capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Performance wise, these solutions are rated at read speeds of up to 155MB/s.

The videos for the upgrade installation process are available on YouTube, following the links for the Dell Mini 9 and ASUS Eee PC netbooks. The SSDs are already available for purchase through Amazon and Tiger Direct.
