Acer’s affordable Tegra 2 tablet, the Iconia A100 has reportedly been spotted selling in the old continent for just 199 EUR. That would be around 250 USD for the US buyers.
This is quite a bit cheaper than the initial launch price of 299 EUR.
The tablet comes with the same 7” multi-touch screen and 8 GB or internal storage just like Amazon’s Kindle Fire, but also has a microSD slot and two video cameras; one 5MP one on the back and a from facing camera as well.
One other selling point is that Acer has started updating to ICS a whole bunch of its tablets that are currently shipping.
Therefore there is a strong chance that the user will get a much more capable operating system right out of the box.
