14 DAY TRIAL // The fact that LCD producers want to sell LCD monitors with bigger diagonals seems to be confirmed by Acer as well.
The producer announced that it will introduce two new models, AL2416W and AL2032W, which will be commercialized in Taiwan next month. They are scheduled to enter the European market at the end of 2005.
Acer AL2416W is a model with a diagonal of 24 inches and with a response time of only 6 milliseconds. These features make this monitor perfect for those who want to play and to watch movies. The maximum resolution is 1920x1200 and the contrast rate is 1000:1.
For Europe, the monitor's price hasn't been established yet, but in Taiwan, it will have a price tag of approximately 28,000 Taiwanese dollars, or 700 Euro. The model is scheduled to reach Europe by the end of the year.
The other Acer model, AL2032W, has only 20 inch in diagonal, a contrast rate of 800:1 and response time of 8 milliseconds. It supports a resolution of up to 1680x1050 and a luminosity of 300cd per square meter.
In the UK, this model costs around 625 Euro.
