As you've probably been able to see for yourselves over the past couple of days, Acer's been pushing new or upgraded products onto the market at quite a relentless rate, the latest we've come across being a couple of upgraded models in the company's Ultra Slim S3 series.

So, although the S273HL and S243HL monitors have already won the iF design award, it seems that Acer's decided to push their capabilities even further and fitted the two display solutions with wider-angle panels, now reaching an impressive 178 degrees on both horizontal and vertical directions.

Despite featuring an ultra-slim form factor (14.8 mm for the S243HL and 21mm for the S273HL), these two monitors offers not only some truly impressive diagonal sizes (24 inches for the first model and 27 inches for the second one), but also very good resolutions, both being able to display Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) videos.

Furthermore, the new monitors also sport an impressive contrast ratio of 100,000,000:1 (it's indeed a dynamic value, if you happen to be wondering), as well as the eco-friendly white LED technology, plus two integrated HDMI ports, that will enable users to connect either of the two displays to a much wider array of video content sources that just PCs (such as Blu-ray players or gaming consoles, just to give an example).

It's also important to point out the fact that the overall image quality provided by the new Ultra Slim S3 monitors will be further boosted by the numerous proprietary technologies implemented by Acer, such as the eColor Management technology, as well as the Adaptive Contrast Management (ACM) and eDisplay Management technologies.

Sadly, no specific information on the exact moment when the upgraded Ultra Slim S3 monitors will arrive on the market has been provided by Acer, and the same goes for the pricing at which they should become available.
