Usually Acer is known for its affordable price tags, but not with this device

Those who got excited about Acer announcing its TravelMate X313 “Ultrabook” should know that the device has received a final price tag and will become available this month.

The X313 is actually a tablet that works in concert with a dock and a keyboard case, but its bulkier design might fool customers into thinking this is a Windows 8 Ultrabook of sorts. The device is similar in look and feel with the Acer Iconia W700 and the recently unveiled Acer Iconia W3.

The model could be compared to tablet hybrids like Surface Pro 2 or VAIO Tap 11 if you don’t count the lower resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels or the Ivy Bridge Core i5 processor inside, says Engadget. Oddly enough, not having the latest chip architecture or a better resolution hasn't stopped Acer from pricing the X313 at a whopping $950 / €708.

The only advantage we could find is its figure. With a weight of 1.74 pounds / 0.7 kg and 0.39-inch / 0.9 cm thickness, it should be easier to carry around than the other two tablets. On top of that, Acer also offers a 120GB SSD, as opposed to Microsoft, which only packs 64GB.
