At this moment we can’t tell whether the device will be powered by Windows 8 or Android

We have seen ASUS post its ante-CES 2014 teaser video, showing a possible convertible with dual-OS capabilities, not so long ago.

Now a week before the kick start of the most awaited tech shows of the year, Acer too, lets us have a quick glimpse of what is preparing for the event.

The company has posted on its official Facebook the following motto “CES 2014: Want to be a touch cooler in 2014? In 7 days Acer will reveal a must-have product.” A gif showcasing a thin and sleek device has been posted bellow, so what could it be?

I’m inclined to assume, since Acer isn’t that popular with smartphones, this might turn out to be a tablet or laptop of sorts, or even a hybrid in between, since these machines are very popular these days.

Judging by the tease, we could expect the upcoming device to come featuring a new fanless cooling system that keeps the device noise-free.

But we should recall this is not the first time Acer uses the #aTouchCooler tag for its Android or Windows products, so most likely the new product is part of the company’s “quality and innovation” philosophy.

Taking a closer look at the gift, we can discern the device sports a pearl white look with a silver profile, which immediately makes us think of the Iconia tablet line. Acer has just made available for purchase in the US, the latest model from the series, the Iconia W4, so is it possible the tech giant is already prepared to roll out a successor.

Regardless whether this turns out to be a stand-alone tablet, a 2-in-1 hybrid or a touch-enabled laptop we’re pretty curious to see Acer’s latest attempt to impress consumers. And we don’t have to wait that long as CES 2014 is just around the corner.
