After the graphics performance of the Lenovo LePad K2 was leaked at the end of last week, it's now time for another Nvidia Kal-El-powered tablet to reveal its secrets, this being the upcoming Acer Iconia Tab A510.

Just like in the case of the LePad K2, the leaked graphics performance results also come from the GL Benchmark online public community database, which can be accessed from the apps official website.

The results themselves don't bring any surprises as the Acer tablet manages to achieve only 21.8fps in the Egypt standard benchmark, while in the Pro Standard test it achieves 32.1fps, according to Notebook Italia.

From what it has been uncovered until now about the Iconia Tab A510 we know that the device, which will come as the A500 successor, will be powered by Nvidia's Tegra 3 system-on-a-chip (SoC), also known under the code name of Kal-El.

This quad-core chip is based on the ARM Cortex A9 architecture and is accompanied by a built-in Nvidia GPU which includes eight pixel shaders and four vertex processors.

The graphics core is put to use by a 1280x800 resolution display and the tablet is said to be shipping with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, even though the version benchmarked still runs the 3.2 version of Google's OS.

No details regarding the release date or the pricing of the Iconia Tab A510 were provided, but its presence in the GL Benchmark online database seems to suggest that we shouldn't be that far off from its official launch.

In addition to the A510, Acer is also working on the A700 tablet that is powered by the same Nvidia Tegra 3 chip clocked at 1.4GHz, but features a 1920x1200 resolution 10.1-inch display. Other tablet makers are also expected to launch Nvidia Kal-El tablets in the near future.
