The 7-inch Iconia Tab A100 tablet has yet to make its debut in various regions of the world after numerous delays.

Just like the Iconia Smart handset, the tablet was postponed by Acer for unknown reasons, but the company seems to be determined to launch all its Iconia family products this fall.

Following the confirmation for the Iconia Smart launch in September, the company said that it will launch the smallest of the Iconia family tablets, the Iconia Tab A100, in Australia.

It looks like the company plans to launch the $1,000 Acer Ultrabook on September 7, followed a few weeks later by the Iconia Tab A100, which will be priced around $500.

Unfortunately, the new price seems to be much higher than what we expected, as Acer stated originally that the tablet will cost around $300.

Those who are not familiar with the tablet's specs should know that the tablet is expected to be launched with Honeycomb on board and the manufacturer's proprietary Acer UI, which can be disabled at any moment.

Obviously, the tablet features a 7-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 600 x 1024 pixels resolution.

Furthermore, the tablet is equipped with NVIDIA's dual-core Tegra 2 processor and packs 512 MB RAM, 8GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Other highlights of the tablet include: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity and Wi-Fi hotspot capability, accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, Gyro sensor, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and A2DP support, and microUSB and HDMI ports.

Acer Iconia Tab A100 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording capabilities, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

Additionally, the tablet comes with the entire Google Suite package, including Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, as well as Picasa integration, Document viewer and support for Adobe Flash Player 10.3.

The Iconia Tab A100 should be available in Australia via Optus or Telstra carriers, but there hasn't been any announcement yet.
