Acer has introduced its affordable Iconia Tab 10 tablet a while ago, but the slate didn't sell in the United States.

However, the company has announced that Acer tablet fans who live stateside will be offered the chance to pick it up too. What’s more important, Acer is bringing a slightly improved version of the device to the continent.

The new Acer Iconia Tab 10 arrives with a 10.1-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and draws life from a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT8127 quad-core processor fitted with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (microSD card included).

Sadly, the tablet is still stuck with Android 4.4 KitKat and there’s no word on when Acer plans to roll out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its products. It’s probably going to take a while, though, so don’t get your hopes up yet.

Other specs include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 5MP/2MP camera combo.

The tablet is currently available for sale from several locations including Acer’s official US webstore for $249 / €233 a pop, so if you feel this tablet might be what you are looking for, go pick it up.

Acer is set to host an event in New York City on April 23 and the company will probably unveil new tablets, so you might want to hold off from making any decisions for the time being.
