Acer announced its budget Iconia B-720 tablet earlier this month and put the slate on display at CES 2014. Now the device has been made available for purchase in Europe with a sensible price tag of €129 / $176.

The tablet is advertised as being the perfect “family friend” and despite what some of you might feel towards Acer, this is a pretty decent product.

The tablet has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and draws power from a MediaTek dual-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz fitted with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable to 32GB).

The Iconia B1-720 has a webcam, 3G, Wi-fi and its battery can sustain up to 5 hours of intense use. Most importantly, you should know the tablet will receive the Android KitKat 4.4 update in the upcoming months (possibly May).
