Just before CES 2014, Acer has taken the opportunity to pull the veil off multiple products which include tablets and notebooks.

On top of that, the device maker has also announced the official availability of the Aspire S3 Ultrabook on the Old Continent.

In case you don't remember, the S3 super portable notebook (weighs 1.67 kg / 3.68 pounds and is only 17.8 mm / 0.7 inches thin) comes sporting a light-sensing backlit keyboard and packs Acer’s TwinAir cooling technology, that allows the device to be maintained at optimal temperatures.

Inside Acer has added an Haswell Intel Core processor and NVDIA GeForce GT 735M, so users can be play videos/movies, edit photos and play games smoother than they have done before.

A particular feat of the Acer Ultrabook is the “patented dual-torque hinge design” which allows users to turn the lid around with 180 degrees and share content.

Aesthetically speaking, the S3 is quite pleasing to the eye, sporting a cover made of aluminum and “sprayed Sparkling White with a mirror-polish finish” while the operating area is made of anodized aluminum.

The Acer Aspire S3is available with a starting price of €999 / $1,363.
