Looking for a laptop but you don’t want to go spending all your savings? Acer has your back. The company is known for providing decent-value budget friendly products, and this is the case of the Aspire E11 and V11 laptops.

The two devices were unveiled back in April at the event Acer held in New York, and now, a few months later, the two products have finally made a debut on the market.

They are both 11.6-inch devices arriving with Bay Trail processors and boasting fanless designs and the producing company is making them available on the US market.

The first one, Acer Aspire E11 is a small device selling for as little as $250 / €184 and is the basic model. On the other hand, the V11 also boasts a touchscreen display, a feature that bumps pricing specifications to $350 / €258.

Both laptops are being offered with a variety of configurations. The Aspire E11 can be fitted with either a Celeron N2830 / Pentium N3530 processor with 2GB/4GB of RAM. As for storage options, one can choose between 320GB HDD or 500GB one.

The Aspire V11 is sold with a Celeron N2930 / Pentium N3530 processor fitted with 4GB of RAM and 500GB HDD.

Apart from being quite affordable, these notebooks are fanless, so it means you won’t be disturbed by any annoying noise coming from them. However, you should note they have hard drives instead of solid state drives, so the moving parts in the HDDs might produce some rumble after all.

It also seems important to point out that these aren't performance laptops. Sure, they run the most powerful Intel Bay Trail chips available, but they are still in no way comparable to Haswell. But Bay Trail is the reason Acer managed to lower the prices of the two models so much.

The V11 model should provide users with around 7 hours of battery life, while the E11 should come with a little less. Both laptops run Windows 8.1 out of the box and they are quite lightweight. The V11 is being offered with a choice of only two colors and is a little bit thicker than E11.

So there you have it, if you’re looking for a budget laptop, the E11 and V11 might be exactly what you need. You shouldn't expect them to be powerhouses, but at least they bring forth decent-enough performance which is what most of us need for daily tasks.
