Outside of the consumer oriented all-in-one computers Acer unveiled a little bit earlier today, the Taiwanese company also introduced a series of new Veriton AIOs that target businesses, schools, hospitals and government agencies.

The new series is comprised of two models, the Veriton Z2620G and Veriton Z2610G, both of these featuring similar specs and being powered by Intel Sandy Bridge processors.

The main difference between the two is the fact that the Z2620G comes equipped with a high-performance Intel Core i5-2400S processor with four computing cores and a 2.5GHz base frequency, while its smaller sibling gets an Intel Pentium G620 dual-core processor.

In addition, the more powerful Acer AIO also includes dedicated graphics thanks to the inclusion of a discrete Nvidia GeForce GT 520M graphics card.

The standard configuration of these two systems, pairs Intel's processors with 4GB of system memory (upgradeable to 8GB), a 500GB hard drive and with SuperMulti optical drives.

Gigabit Ethernet and wireless 802.11 b/g/n WiFi connectivity is also included together with six USB 2.0 ports and a 20-inch display with a native resolution of 1600x900 pixels.

To make the two Veriton AIOs better fitted for business use, Acer ships them with some special software for hard drive encryption, a BIOS import and export tool, a special recovery application and also with a remote system management software.

"Our Veriton all-in-one desktops are designed to provide performance without compromise, while conserving desktop real estate and providing a professional look and feel to any organization.," said Leila Axelle Robert, Acer Commercial Systems Business Manager.

"Ideal for reception areas, call centers or anywhere that space conservation and presentation are a priority, these AIOs feature an Acer software suite that simplifies routine tasks, remotely deploys software upgrades and safeguards critical data.

“In addition, Intel Core i5 processing and discrete graphics provide an excess of the power required for multitasking in demanding commercial environments," concluded the company's rep.

The Acer Veriton VZ2620G and Veriton VZ2610G desktops are available in North America as we speak with prices being set at $849.99 and $649.99 (615 and 470 EUR), respectively.
