After having released its latest portable computer systems, Acer America, the world's third largest vendor of computer systems, has announced today that its popular Veriton line of business desktops has now been enhanced with new design features meant to boost overall productivity. Ranging from better cooling to better hardware component management, the new Veriton systems provide users with an easy way to upgrade to the latest components and take advantage of an enhanced computer performance. According to the company, these new design features have been enabled on three new desktops, including the Veriton M265, Veriton M421G and Veriton M670G.

“The new Acer Veriton desktop PCs were designed from the ground up to provide business customers with compelling features that make a big difference in value and productivity in the real world,” said Leila Axelle Robert, Acer desktop business manager. “From a more efficient design that improves serviceability to the easily accessible ports and our One Button Recovery capability, the new Veriton desktops combine great technology and user-friendly features for a tremendous value.”

One of the main features of the new Veriton PC is Acer's new One-Button Recovery (OBR) function, which enables the user to recover the system in case of damage or lost system files. Pushing the OBR button located in the front of the PC will return the system to its default settings or to the last system backup. Another great feature of Acer's new Veriton PCs allows the user to install certain Veriton models both vertically and horizontally, saving more room space in crowded offices. In addition, upgrading the hard drive or the optical drive of these systems is now a more accessible task, thanks to a modular design.

As far as technical specifications go, the Veriton M265 is offered in two models, both based on Intel's G31 chipset and coming with 2GB of DDR2 RAM, 160GB SATA hard drive, Intel's GMA3100 graphics and prices starting at $419 and $499, respectively. From the two, the highest-priced model is also available with a 19-inch wide-screen TFT LCD. The M421G is based on AMD's 780G chipset and comes with an Athlon X2 Dual-Core 5000B processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, 160GB hard drive, discrete ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics and a starting price tag of $439.

The last of the three, the Veriton M679G, is based on Intel's Q45 Express chipset and is powered by an Intel Quad Core Q9400 processor. The system is equipped with 3GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, Discrete ATI Radeon HD 4350 PRO 512MB VRAM graphics card and a price tag of $899.
