When launching the latest Nexus device out there, Google and Samsung promised a long range of accessories for it. However, they did not deliver, not until now.

Today, though, we learn that accessories for this Google phone have started to arrive in the United States.

To be more precise, we’re talking about the i515 Pogo Desktop Dock for the high-end smartphone, which is now available for purchase from Samsung themselves.

“The Samsung Galaxy Nexus i515 Pogo Pin Desktop Dock allows you to charge your Galaxy Nexus handset quickly through the pogo pin receivers located on the side of the handset,” Samsung explains.

“Drop your handset into the charger without fumbling around with cords or small charging ports. The pogo pins increase the longevity of your device as well as you’ll refrain from placing stress on the phone connector every time you plug in to charge.”

Connecting the phone to this charging dock does not require the use of cables, while an included audio-out jack enables users to connect the phone to larger audio systems at home. Thus, you can listen to music or watch videos while the device is charging.

The dock doesn’t do much else than that, except for being capable of charging your handset, of course, but it does feature a price tag of $90 (around 67 Euros).

“Ideal for the home or workplace, the pogo pin desktop dock allows you to carry on with daily activities while keeping the power of the Galaxy Nexus nearby,” Samsung continues.

“Even while the handset charges, you can watch videos, listen to music via the built-in 3.5 mm stereo audio port, or run applications in landscape mode.”

The i515 Pogo Desktop Dock features compatibility with both Verizon and Sprint versions of the Ice Cream Sandwich-based Galaxy Nexus, Samsung notes.

Hopefully, this is only one of the accessories that the owners of a Galaxy Nexus smartphone in the US will soon be able to purchase. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
