Not long ago, AVADirect released an entire product lineup based on Intel's latest collection of central processing unit, one of said machines being a gaming notebook that has yet to start shipping.

The Sandy Bridge collection of central processing units was released even before the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show came around.

Since then, a veritable torrent of computers powered by them have been released, a torrent that AVADirect has now contributed to.

Already the company has been revealed to have put together the Clevo P170HM, a gaming notebook based on a Core i7 Extreme or regular Core i7 mobile CPU.

Other machines more or less similar to it were completed as well, one of them being known as Clevo W150HNQ.

This particular model uses a second generation Core i5 or Core i7 socket G2 processor and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 540 discrete GPU, which has 1 GB of memory.

To let said video card work at its fullest, the 15.6-inch display is a LED-backlit screen with a native resolution of either 1,366 x 768 or 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

There is also mention of 8 GB of DDR3-1333 dual-channel memory, as well as of HDDs or SSDs with SATA 3 Gbps connectivity.

Furthermore, a built-in DVD±R/RW Dual Layer Burner handles optical storage and playback of multimedia disks.

Other specifications include the NVIDIA Optimus technology (which switches between the aforementioned GT 540 and the integrated solution), 802.11a/g/n WiFi, a Bluetooth card and Gigabit Ethernet, plus high definition audio and a 3-in-1 card reader.

Finally, a built-in webcam is, of course, present, as is a TV tuner, eSATA, a full size keyboard and, for streaming to bigger and better displays, an HDMI output.

The base configuration of the AVADirect Clevo W150HNQ Sandy bridge gaming laptop can be found here, its starting price being of $1,029.61.
