We reported yesterday on the upcoming release of the Samsung Galaxy S 4 in the United States and several documents suggest the flagship smartphone will arrive in late April / early May.
AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint will all launch the Galaxy S 4, along with other smaller carriers in the United States, but aside the Magenta carrier none announced exactly when the smartphone might go on sale.
Even though a Staples memo leaked yesterday pointed to a possible April 26 release at AT&T, things are not exactly as we would like and Samsung Galaxy S 4 won’t be available in the US so early.
However, as Engadget points out, AT&T has just confirmed Samsung Galaxy S 4 will ship on April 30. In addition, the carrier also priced the 16GB version of the device at $640//€490 off contract.
Obviously, those who commit to a new two-year agreement can buy the Galaxy S 4 much cheaper, as the phone is priced at only $200/€155. Check it out here.
We also know Samsung and T-Mobile will launch the Galaxy S 4 on May 1, while Verizon is expected to bring its own carrier-branded Galaxy S 4 on May 30.
Still, the latter has to be taken with a grain of salt, as the carrier did not make any official statements regarding the phone’s availability.
Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset in the United States. The phone will also be available with an Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset in other regions.
The Qualcomm-based version packs a 1.9GHz quad-core processor, an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
It is also worth mentioning that AT&T customers will be able to pick the 16GB Galaxy S 4 in either Black Mist or White Frost color options.
