Ahead of the holiday shopping spree, AT&T announced it would be offering free 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 slates to any customers willing to purchase a Samsung smartphone on a two-year contract.
Yes, you heard that right: buy a phone, get a tablet free. And here are the available handset options for you to choose from: Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S 4 Active, Galaxy Note II or Galaxy Note 3.
The offer is now available and you can take advantage of it as we speak from every AT&T retail location and participating dealer locations. Customers who prefer shopping online will have to wait a little bit before they can get their free slate, but the offer is definitely coming to the virtual world as well.
The Galaxy Tab features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It’s powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Samsung offers 8GB with the model, but there’s a microSD card slot so you can increase it.
If you decide to go purchase it by itself, it would set you back with $180 / €131 or so.
AT&T allows users to choose a cellular data model, but there’s a tweak. Shoppers will have to activate them under the AT&T Mobile Share plan, which translates into an additional $10 / €7 per month on top of the 2-year smartphone data plan.
AT&T offers the deal between October 30, 2013 and January 9, 2014.
