Starting May 20, mobile phone users in the United States interested in the purchase of a BlackBerry Q10 smartphone on the network of AT&T can head over to the wireless carrier’s website to register for updates on the device’s arrival.

Made official back in January, the smartphone has landed on shelves in several markets around the world only last month, and is now getting ready to arrive in the US as well, where AT&T will be only one carrier to add it to its offering.

The Q10 is the first smartphone to hit shelves with a touchscreen display, a QWERTY keyboard, and the BlackBerry 10 operating system loaded on top, and has already registered increased user interest around the world.

The device packs a 3.1-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720 x 720 pixel resolution, as well as a 1.5 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4470 processor inside, with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU.

Furthermore, it sports 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, the mobile phone features an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for full HD video recording, paired with a front camera for making video calls.

The specs list of this smartphone also includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity, HSDPA, LTE, built-in GPS receiver, and an 1800mAh Li-Ion battery inside.

Furthermore, it sports all the features and capabilities that the BlackBerry 10 platform was launched with, including BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Balance, a new Browser, BlackBerry Maps, and more, plus the convenience of a physical keyboard.

“With just a swipe, peek into the BlackBerry Hub from any app to effortlessly flow in and out of your messages and conversations. One device for work and play. Access work email, apps, and content without compromising your personal experience,” AT&T notes on its website.
