Wireless carrier AT&T announced on Thursday the introduction of a series of new Lenovo PCs that are bundled with the carrier's Tech Support 360 and which are aimed mainly at small and mid-size businesses. According to the carrier, the new devices are meant to offer industry-leading solutions to small and mid-size businesses, while the bundle also gives them access to live, 24/7 technical support.

The new devices that are available for the carrier's business users include the Lenovo ThinkPad SL510 and T400 laptops, as well as the ThinkCentre A58 small form factor desktops. Given the fact that these devices are bundled with AT&T Tech Support 360, businesses will have the opportunity to save up to $200 through February 2010, compared to the case in which they purchase the two solutions separately.

“The ability to reliably and knowledgeably use computers and software is becoming increasingly important for small and midsize businesses to remain competitive,” said Ebrahim Keshavarz, vice president, Business Development for AT&T. “Our goal is to help these businesses take advantage of the latest technology – as well as provide support, training, and troubleshooting for these solutions – so they can focus on growing their business.”

According to the carrier, its Tech Support 360 can deliver 24/7 online IT support, such as assistance for the setup of a wireless network, software installation, training, or the setup of security software, not to mention the configuration of peripherals. Moreover, the AT&T Tech Support 360 technicians will also deliver Windows 7 training, so that businesses can benefit the most from their PCs. At the same time, the carrier notes that Lenovo certified the devices as being bundled with the AT&T Tech Support 360.

“This bundle allows AT&T and Lenovo to offer small businesses the enhanced productivity of doing business while on the go, and, at the same time, gives them access to ongoing technical support on items like software training, wireless network setup and peripherals support. Coming after recent announcements regarding AT&T’s expanded offer of Tech Support 360 to midsized businesses and its planned inclusion of Intel vProTM technology, this announcement marks the first time that AT&T Tech Support 360 has been bundled with a computer purchase,” the carrier also noted.
