Expected to be launched on February 13th, HTC Inspire 4G has been confirmed to feature the Mobile Hotspot capability at launch. AT&T has just announced the availability of a new Mobile Hotspot application that will enable customers to connect multiple devices to the Internet, using their smartphone’s Wi-Fi function.

Furthermore, the carrier stated HTC Inspire 4G would be the first smartphone to feature the application as soon as the device will hit the shelves on February 13th.

New customers who wish to take advantage of the Mobile Hotspot feature will have to pay $45 per month which includes 4GB of data transfer ($25 for 2GB plus $20 for mobile hotspot and 2GB).

In addition, the carrier will bring its smartphone tethering plan in line with the AT&T Mobile Hotspot offer, which means that customers who are already on a tethering plan will receive an additional 2GB of monthly data usage at no extra charge.

Our customers want to connect as many devices as possible to the nation’s fastest mobile broadband network, which is getting faster with 4G,” said David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.

We want to extend the benefits of an additional 2GB to smartphone customers on our tethering plan. This delivers more value today for the price they’re already paying – and that’s what our customers want,” continued Christopher.

The carrier also stated that customers who exceeded the 4GB included with the Data Pro plus Mobile Hotspot plans would have to pay an overage fee of $10 per gigabyte.

As a side note, AT&T subscribers will receive a text message from the carrier, as soon as the Inspire 4G along with the new tethering and mobile hotspot plans will be available on February 13th, to inform them about the additional 2GB that has been auto-added to their plan.
