Wireless carrier AT&T recently announced a series of enhancements launched for its U-verse TV customers, including Multiview app, TV Awards and New Shows app, plus a Media Share feature. According to the operator, U-verse TV customers can benefit from the new upgrades at no charge, and will enjoy multiple channel view with Multiview, the season’s award shows and season premieres with TV Awards and New Shows, as well as streaming of photos and music files from a PC to the U-verse TV with Media Share.

“The apps and features available with U-verse TV give you new ways to watch and interact with the shows you love,” said Jeff Weber, vice president of video services for AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “We offer numerous apps on U-verse TV today, standard with every package, and we’re adding more all the time. It’s another reason why customers choose and rave about U-verse TV.”

With U-verse, TV Multiview users can watch up to four channels at the same time, while also being able to select the channel for the main picture and audio. Users can enjoy Sports Multiview (channel 601), News Multivew (channel 201) and Kids Multiview (channel 301) programming without browsing through channels at all times. Moreover, a recording feature is also available directly from the Multiview app in case one would like to record a certain program.

The TV Awards and New Shows app provides users with info on the year’s award-nominated television programs, while also delivering details on the TV premiers for the fall. According to AT&T, the app is available on channel 95, where the list of programs nominated for the Primetime Emmy Awards, Teen Choice Awards and Television Critics Association Awards is on display. In addition, features like voting for favorite shows or reading biographies for actors, hosts and others can be found with the application.

The Media Share feature enables users to stream personal photos or music to their U-verse TV screens from a compatible PC. Users can view photo slideshows on their TV, listen to playlists, and the only thing they need to do is set up a PC to connect with the AT&T U-verse home network. More details on the features that U-verse TV customers can enjoy are available on AT&T's website.
