We did say that Acer and ASUS were part of Intel's Clover Trail CPU and Windows 8 tablet launch, so here are the two tablets that will start shipping next month (October 2012).

The products are in no way novelties. Both of them were revealed at the IFA 2012 convention in Berlin, Germany.

The ASUS Vivo Tab has 64 GB of storage space, an 11.6-inch high-resolution (1366 x 768 pixels) widescreen Super IPS+ display with ASUS TruVivid Technology and Corning Fit Glass. The multi-touch technology supports Wacom’s digitizer stylus.

The Acer Iconia W510 is a 10.1-inch product with 32 GB of 64 GB storage capacity and an HD screen (1366 x 728 pixels).

Both slates use the Intel Atom Z2760 Clover Trail CPU and can be sold with docks that add hours to the battery life and have USB ports, HDMI outputs and other I/O features.

We'll have to wait for shipments to start before we know for sure what prices the newcomers demand.  We can only hope they aren't the ones provided here.
